The Eyes Have It!
With our Pro-Active Support program, your computers will transmit daily alerts on their overall fitness to our PAS Dashboard. Plus, we will receive immediate alerts when a critical event occurs. In most cases, we will know there’s a problem before you will. We love this because it lets us keep the small problems small and not let them get big and scary.
We will provide ongoing program and security updates, which can be a big deal to stay ahead of. Sometimes the updates are to fix bugs, which is great but other times it's to fix security flaws. And if those flaws aren't patched, they could cause you and your business real money in the form of downtime, lost productivity and the expense to fix the problem.
Security Matters
Let's not forget about security and protection. With the PAS program we have 2 vital components to help safeguard you and your data; managed anti-virus (MAV) and a web filter (we call it WebProtect). The MAV gets updated every few hours as the database of viruses changes, which is really important. The MAV needs to know about any new threats before you click on something that might cause you a problem!
Safe Surfing
In conjunction with the MAV is our WebProtect program. WebProtect also has a database that gets updated, but its list is more about bad websites. We don't want you landing a what appears to be a normal website that might actually be poisoned. Poison websites inject malware (malicious software) onto your computer.
Malware is technically not a virus, but can cause loads of problems like redirecting your web searches, tracking your keystrokes as you log into your bank, email or social media sites or even encrypt your data so you can't open it. Scary for sure.
WebProtect also allows for the blocking of productivity-killing websites that maybe you don't want your employees on during the work day. Typically the filtering is set to block Hate, Guns, Violence, Sex, Nudity and Abused Drugs. We can add other categories or specific websites to suit your needs.
Maximum Threat Protection
Many businesses feel they need the maximum in network protection, and we can deliver!
If you need or want a robust firewall solution to further protect your business systems, workpapers and client data, we can offer that service as well in the form of a state-of-the-art firewall with a built-in Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). This IPS will act as a constant sentry thwarting the attacks that are occurring all the time against your network.
Plus, we will make sure that if an employee clicks on a bad link or goes to a bad website in-between software updates, the firewall will stop any bad instructions from being carried out that might compromise your system or your data.
Data Protection As Easy As 3-2-1
Sounds backwards, but 3-2-1 is a data backup technique used to ensure your business NEVER loses any data. Data in 3 places; the original and two copies. Data on 2 different media types. And 1 copy offsite in the cloud. Utilizing a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, we can take nightly copies of your local and shared data in the event that something fails. We even back up the NAS locally and then to the cloud to maintain 3-2-1.
The NAS backup gives us even greater protection against downtime. By performing an image backup of every computer, every night, we can get you back up in a hurry if your computer fails, or if it's time for a new one. Restoring from an image backup means all your programs and data remain intact.
Finally, the NAS will also backup your entire Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data; email, contacts, calendar and data too...and it's free!
The cost for the plan is $42/month per computer and an initial onboarding fee per location applies. Before we can bring your location into the program however, each PC will need to be “scrubbed” to ensure no problems exist. We will run a battery of scans as well as apply any missing updates that may affect the security and functionality of the systems. The cost for this scrubbing service is $119/computer and will improve their overall performance in the process by removing unwanted or unused programs.
